Friday I met in town with people I work with, turns out we were going to Ngong Hills for a hike! It was rough, and we made it more than half way! We stopped for a picnic, did some acro-yoga, and well hell I got a full body massage because this guy from Croatia and these women were doing workshops with the trainers at Nafsi for the past few weeks and it was their final day so we did this hike, here are some fun pictures (and yes I'm still horribly sore)!
Then I spent Saturday night at Ian and Mandela's I met Ian new baby girl, she's absolutely precious, and Mandi (my kitty) always sleeps next to her, it's quite possibly the cutest thing ever.
Then Mandela came over Sunday and cooked this amazing meal for my whole apartment Sunday, beef stew, coconut rice, and sukomawiki-- Kenyan stuffs- but seriously beyond delicious.
I shortly after fell into a food coma, until I had class this morning.
Now i'm going to get some readings done before I head to USIU.
A few tid bits, (what a strange saying, huh, weird).
OK SO-
VALENTINES DAY IS A HUGE DEAL HERE, and I really just don't understand why. I understand the importance of showing the people you love that you do, but really a whole day dedicated to either super horribly cheezy things or people feeling depressed and getting drunk, no fun.
I had to reschedule TWO interviews because they didn't want to do it on Valentine's day- seriously people, i'm on a schedule here!
So that is silly, and there's just a huge hype about it in general which i don't understand. Although lots of discounts (woohoo- too bad i have a lot of work to do), and it's all anyone is talking about. So strange. I honestly forget about it every year (whether I'm with someone or not) it's just silly, I get a nice reminder when my dad would send me flowers- which always would make my day!
Well I guess, happy early Valentine's day everybody!
Also I thought this was silly, and so so so very true:
Found this online, thought it was cool and could share it!

This has been the background on my computer since October(ish), I know it keeps me going through long days!
DON'T FORGET TO SMILE TODAY!
